I had not heard of this concept either Lisa! Glad I am not the only one. I can see the benefits as well, but can see many teachers not ready and/or comfortable to jump out and make videos. However, the statistics and concept are amazing. I would just want to know more info about the data that was used.
I think to try and integrate this concept would be to start with pilot grade/classes in your school. Each school will be different due to their resources and how tech savvy teachers are. I would like to compare the data in my school due to our low socio-economic status. I would be interested to see how the students would react to this type of teaching. As a teacher I would love it!! I would enjoy that extra time to spend with my students and help them, rather than lecturing. I just think of the time that could be utilized to really teach, once it was moving in the right direction. Many of my students do not receive help at home or parents just can't help their children like you were saying, Lisa. I can't wait to hear more about this concept and see more data from other schools trying this.
